Border Czar Announces Thousands of Migrant Children Rescued from Trafficking

Over 62,000 children have been removed from abusive and trafficking situations, with the president promising to find more.

U.S. Border czar Tom Homan announced that over 62,000 migrant children have been rescued from forced labor and sex trafficking so far during President Donald Trump’s second term.

It is estimated that 300,000 and 500,000 unaccompanied migrant children were “missing” or “lost” after illegally crossing the border between 2019 and 2024. Many of these children were released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) without notices to appear in court, eliminating a way to track them.

“We know that many of them are in sex trafficking. Many are in forced labor. Many are being abused. I can’t discuss some of the mistreatment we found out about,” Mr. Homan said. “President Trump committed on day one that we will do everything we can to find every one of these children.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Border Czar Homan as he oversees efforts to find and release children who have been trafficked.
  • For President Trump as he seeks to uphold his commitment to find the migrant children who have been unaccounted for.
  • For God’s protection over vulnerable populations as officials in the president’s administration seek to prevent trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.
